Where most CHIRP transducers narrow their beam as frequency rises, the wide high band holds a fixed 25 degree beam across the whole range, putting far more coverage beneath the boat.\n\nWith 2 to 3 kW of dual-range transmit power the low band sounds to 10,000 ft while the wide high band gives broad, detailed returns to 500 ft. The epoxy housing installs as an external thru-hull with a High-Performance Fairing and suits fibreglass, wood or metal hulls up to 25 degrees deadrise on vessels of 12 m and above. An integral depth and fast-response temperature sensor is built in.
