For single-handed sailors, Solo Sailor mode turns the boat head to wind if the remote loses its connection while the pilot is steering to wind, and a Lost Connection MOB alarm can alert the crew if the person carrying the remote goes over the side. If you do not yet have a gateway, choose the RCU-1 with WG-1 kit (E70718), which comes pre-paired. The RCU-1 works only with Raymarine Evolution autopilots (EV-1 or EV-2 sensor on software v3.21 or later) and cannot be the only controller in the system.
