Garmin GND 10 gWind, gWind Wireless, gWind Race

The Garmin gWind family of transducers features twin-fin technology with three-bladed propeller for more accurate wind data. The gWind Wireless transducer offers an easy-to-install solution that eliminates having to run wires down the mast. Designed for racing sailboats, the gWind Race transducer features a 1m straight pole to raise the transducer above the mast to remove turbulence errors. The included GND 10 black box bridge enables the Nexus Network and compatible Garmin chartplotters to share critical NMEA 2000® data
News-Garmin-2014-gWind

UNRIVALLED TECHNOLOGY Twin-fin design gives a more stable True Wind Angle (TWA) and more accurate True Wind Speed (TWS) in lighter air; optic reading technique makes these transducers superior at low wind speeds and provides for excellent linearity
WIRELESS SIMPLICITYThe gWind Wireless is an easy-to-install solution that eliminates running internal cables through a mast and includes the Wireless Server Interface (WSI) box that receives dedicated radio signals from transducer
RACER OPTIMIZATION Designed for racing sailboats, the gWind Race has a 1m straight pole to raise the wind transducer above the mast to remove turbulence errors from sail wash
NMEA 2000
BRIDGE GND 10 included in the box – bridges NMEA 2000 data to the Nexus Network and enables Garmin compatible chartplotters to integrate with Nexus sail equipment and vice versa
EASE OF USE & INSTALLATION Simple plug-and-play connections between Nexus, Garmin chartplotters, and NMEA 2000 make installation easy; USB offered for advanced system configuration
LOW MAINTENANCE The gWind Wireless internal batteries are continuously charged by a small solar panel integrated on the transducer arm, have a life of around three to four years, and are easily replaced
LIGHTWEIGHT MAST CABLE The gWind and gWind Race include the lightest mast cabling available
