The Raymarine Element 9HV sits in the middle of the range in terms of size and is an investment but one which presents you with the ability to accurately track and map underwater features in real-time, as you move through the water. With a larger screen than the 7HV model, and LED backlighting for top-level visibility, the 9HV is easy to use and adjust as per your preference and surrounding conditions, with the added ability to install and set up alarms based on anything from shallow water to tight channels and even temperature alarms if you’re on the hunt for specific conditions for different types of fish. The 12HV, for reference, is the largest model with a 12-inch screen – making it the most expensive but the best option for commercial fishing boats, combining all the features and benefits of the 7HV and 9HV models but with greater visibility and tracking linked with side vision.
