The New Standard
When danger lies between swells or on the horizon, FLIR helps first responders, commercial mariners, and serious boaters achieve a new level of awareness on the water. FLIR is committed to driving innovation of thermal imaging and sensing technologies, further establishing the quality and availability of advanced vision systems. The M300 Series sets a new standard for safe marine navigation and situational awareness.
Enhanced Stabilization
The functionality of fixed-mount marine cameras should not be dictated by turbulent seas. Active gyro-stabilization on the M300 Series compensates against rough water to keep eyes on-target. An integrated AHRS (Attitude Heading Reference Sensor) and two-axis mechanical stabilization system virtually eliminate the effects of pitch, heave, and yaw. Active stabilization measures partner with electronic stabilization to further minimize image jittering from engine rumble and boat vibration.
FLIR Colour Thermal Vision™ and MSX®
While thermal cameras give mariners superior awareness on the water, thermal imaging alone does not capture important color information from other vessels or navigation aids. The dual sensor M364C and M364C LR offer mariners a new level of awareness via FLIR's patented Color Thermal Vision™ (CTV) technology. This proprietary multi-spectral imaging technology for the FLIR M300 Series and FLIR Raymarine Axiom line of navigation displays blends thermal and high-definition visible color video for enhanced identification of buoys, vessels and other targets at night. Additionally, the M364C and M364C LR models feature the patented FLIR MSX® imaging technology, which extracts edges and borders from the HD visible camera and blends these elements with the thermal image, giving operators improved visual recognition of distant objects.
ClearCruise™ Augmented Reality
Combining M300 Series cameras with Raymarine Axiom® offers next-level performance with Raymarine ClearCruise™ Augmented Reality enhancements. ClearCruise AR makes navigation even safer by presenting AIS targets, chart objects, and waypoints on top of real-time video from any M300 camera.
Safer Navigation
The M300 Series makes nighttime navigation even safer and less stressful. FLIR thermal technology gives captains the power to see clearly in total darkness, glaring light, and light fog. Creating imagery using heat rather than visible light, FLIR thermal reveals subtle temperature differences for anyone to understand—no training required. A proven life-saving technology, FLIR cameras are used by thousands of military, first responder, and commercial professionals every day for navigation, collision avoidance, threat detection, and search and rescue missions.
Low Light HD Visible Sensor
The M300C, M364C, and M364C LR offer superior long-range imaging and positive target identification using a high definition visible camera with 30X optical zoom. Additional ultra-low light capability offers enhanced vision in the most challenging conditions.

Raymarine DockSense Assisted Docking
Raymarine DockSense™ assisted docking system is the recreational marine industry'’'s first object recognition and motion sensing assisted docking solution. DockSense systems use intelligent FLIR machine vision camera technology to analyze real-world imagery while integrating with the vessel’s propulsion and steering system to help boat owners in tight quarter docking maneuvering.
The Docking Challenge
Docking a boat can be a stressful experience, even for the most experienced captains. Often wind and tides make the task more difficult, and docking mishaps can become expensive repairs. The Raymarine DockSense system is designed to augment a captain's boat handling skills using the system’s Virtual Bumper™ zone technology around the vessel. Should an object like a piling or another vessel encounter the Virtual Bumper, DockSense automatically introduces corrective steering and throttle commands to avoid the object and assist the captain in guiding the vessel to the dock.
The Future Of Boat Handling
DockSense uses global positioning system (GPS) and attitude heading reference system (AHRS) position sensing technology to compensate for the effects of wind and currents, ensuring the vessel enters the dock without drama or costly collisions. The Raymarine DockSense systems include multiple FLIR machine vision cameras, a central processing module, and the DockSense App running on Raymarine’s Axiom navigation display. The system integrates with modern joystick propulsion systems, providing assisted steering and throttle commands to help captains make a smooth arrival.

How Doppler Radar Works
Microwave energy waves are bounced off of a distant target, just like conventional radar.
Moving targets send back echoes whose frequencies shift upward or downward from what was originally transmitted.
For inbound targets, the frequency increases as the leading edge of the returning echoes are received more frequently as the target’s range decreases.
For outbound targets, the frequency drops as the returning echoes spread out as its range increases.
Doppler radars are engineered to detect these small shifts in wave frequency, and use them to classify moving radar targets.
Doppler Target Processing
Doppler radar is tuned specifically to detect the radar echo frequency shift returned by moving vs. stationary targets.
Quantum 2 then uniquely color codes moving targets to indicate whether they are getting closer, or moving away.
Inbound targets are colored red.
Outbound targets are colored green.
Color coded targets make it simple to pick out moving traffic from other stationary targets like land, navigation aids or stopped/anchored vessels.
Quantum 2 Saftey Sector
Doppler does an excellent job of bringing attention to moving targets, but it does downplay stationary targets, that can be equally as dangerous.
Safety Sector provides equal attention to these imminent threats by coloring them as inbound targets. Potential targets include:
Buoys.
Exposed Hazard (rocks, pilings, etc).
Slow moving, low visibility vessels.
Quantum 2's Safety Sector spreads 15° from the bow to a distance of approximately 200m.
NOTE: The safety sector is not visible on the display. Quantum 2 automatically processes and highlights targets within this region in red.
Automatic Target Acquisition
The Quantum 2 also features fully automatic target acquisition and tracking. Configure custom safety or alarm zones and be alerted to new radar contacts entering the zone. Quantum 2 can begin tracking those contacts automatically, calculating their course, speed, closest point of approach and more. You’ll be alerted to dangerous contacts with audible alerts and easy to understand on-screen graphics.
True Trails Target History
Quantum 2 also features Raymarine’s new True Trails target history display. The True Trails features enables you to see a historical “wake” behind every moving contact. This additional information makes it even easier to interpret the motion of other vessels, and make smart maneuvering decisions to pass safely.
Rugged And Lightweight
Like every Raymarine Quantum system, you’ll also benefit from a rugged and lightweight design that is super-easy to install. Quantum 2 has very low power consumption making it especially friendly to vessels running exclusively on battery power. Quantum 2 with Doppler can be installed in a traditional wired configuration, or use its built-in Wi-Fi technology to connect it to your Raymarine MFD.
The Quantum 2 with Doppler truly sets the standard for on the water safety and collision avoidance.

B&G, Simrad ForwardScan
Know what lies ahead - With two-dimensional sonar imaging of the bottom ahead of your vessel
B&G, Simrad ForwardScan® Technology
ForwardScan provides forward-looking, two-dimensional sonar views of the bottom ahead of your boat. In shallow, unfamiliar, or poorly-charted waters, ForwardScan is a powerful defence against running around, and an invaluable tool for locating secure sites to drop anchor.
The ForwardScan transducer operates at 180kHz to reduce interference from traditional 200kHz echosounders, and provides:
Maximum forward view of 8X your current depth
e.g. at 3m (10ft) depth, see up to 24m (80ft) ahead.
Nominal forward view of 4-5X your current depth
e.g. At 3m (10ft) depth, see 12-15m (40-50ft) ahead.
Heading Line View
Heading Line View integrates ForwardScan depth data with the heading line displayed on the navigation page of your Simrad MFD. The line is colour-coded in segments to represent deep, medium, and shallow water, with customisable depth ranges to suit your boat’s draught. ForwardScan’s forward range scale is automatically synchronised with the length of the heading line: in split-screen ForwardScan/Navigation view, the full distance from your vessel to the end of the heading line is represented in 2D on the ForwardScan display. Quickly reconcile ForwardScan data with charted depth and your present course, for a comprehensive understanding of what’s ahead.
Bottom Colour Tracking
Bottom Colour Tracking offers a solid 2D rendering of the bottom ahead of your vessel for an uncluttered, immediately understandable view. Make fast and well-informed navigational decisions, without needing to interpret the individual data points returned by the echosounder.
MFD Intergration
ForwardScan connects quickly and easily to any B&G Zeus3, Simrad NSS evo2 and evo3 multifunction display via the StructureScan port, with no additional hardware necessary. On B&G Zeus3 Glass Helm, NSO evo2 and evo3 modular systems, or NSS evo2 systems already using StructureScan, ForwardScan may be connected via an optional B&G/Simrad SonarHub sounder module.
Easy Installation
ForwardScan can be installed on almost any vessel, with 50.8mm (2”) stainless steel through-hull mount. The mount can accommodate 25.4mm (1”) thick hulls at 12° dead rise, or 19mm (3/4”) hulls at 20°.
An optional pre-install kit includes sleeve and blanking plug only, allowing boat-builders to provide ForwardScan as an upgrade option. A ForwardScan transducer can then be added by the dealer or customer, even once the boat has been splashed.

B&G, Lowrance, Simrad Broadband Marine Radar
B&G, Lowrance and Simrad offer two Broadband Radar™ choices; the outstanding Broadband 3G™ Radar and the brand-new, truly exceptional Broadband 4G™ Radar.
3G and 4G Radar Key Features
- Crystal Clear Images - Miss none of your immediate surroundings. Fantastic for tight maneuvers in marinas or in conditions of limited visibility.
- Zero Radiation Hazard - This safest of all radar, it can be mounted anywhere! Broadband Radar™ has fewer emissions than a mobile phone.
- InstantOn™ in Seconds - Solid-state technology produces an immediate, accurate on-screen image.
- Low Power Consumption - Broadband Radar™ requires very little power: ideal for all types and size of recreational boat.
- Safe to Mount Anywhere
- Quick Installation
- Unmatched Short-Range Detection
- 10 MARPA Targets
4G Radar Extra Key Features Over 3G Radar
- Beam Sharpening
- Advanced Clutter Rejection
Crystal-clear image
The images displayed on the screen are incredibly clear and easy to understand due to the use of amazing FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology. The signal sent from the radar is simply a range of frequencies; hence the term broadband. This signal is radiated from the rotating part of the antenna in much the same way as normal radar. The real difference is in the way the radar looks out for the returned signal. Sending this signal out continuously and listening with a very sensitive receiver allows the radar to detect the change in frequency. From this change it is possible to calculate the range and bearing of the target. Broadband Radar has two antennas inside, one transmitting all the time and the other dedicated to receiving the radar signals. This clear signal back is what provides such a crystal clear image on the radar display, making it very quick and easy to understand the radar picture. No complicated tuning or learning curve makes it easy to operate and understand.
Low power consumption
Using new solid state technology reduces the power consumption of the radar significantly over conventional radar. Perfect for use on recreational and sail boats where battery reserves are limited.
Extremely low emissions
Unlike any other radar, Broadband Radar is completely huggable. In fact, the Broadband 4G™ Radar and Broadband 3G™ Radar emit one-fifth the emissions of a common mobile phone. No other radars are this safe! Broadband 3G Radar and Broadband 4G Radar transmit only 1/5th of one Watt, whereas pulse radar on a small boat emits a substantial 2000+ Watts. This enables the radar to be mounted in many more positions than conventional radar, which is ideal for small power boats where radar was previously not an option.
InstantOn™
Broadband Radar provides instant radar transmission, ideal for on a sail boat where you may not wish to have the radar running continuously. Compare this to waiting 90 to 180 seconds as you may have to do with conventional pulse radar. Broadband Radar gives you the radar picture the moment you need it.
Automatic clarity
Broadband 3G™ Radar and Broadband 4G™ Radar operate mostly automatically, with user selectable auto modes. No need for special tuning of the radar at start up or to adjust the tune when changing range, all this is taken care of with the auto modes. In harbor or inshore use the Auto harbor mode, when offshore fishing, use the Auto Offshore mode. Broadband Radar takes care of all the fine-tuning automatically. In addition the Broadband 4G Radar has Direction Clutter Rejection that allows smaller targets to be seen in sea clutter like never before.
Interference rejection
Broadband Radar automatically tunes out interference that may come from other radars operating in the vicinity. Multiple levels of interference rejection remove all noise depending on whether you are in a busy commercial harbor, shipping lanes or just out fishing with another boat. The special IR software removes other radar noise; yet still maintains a perfect radar picture around the boat. Simple to use and the results are impressive.
Broadband 4G™ Radar, What’s New?
The newest member of the Broadband Radar range, the Broadband 4G Radar continues in this tradition offering all the benefits of the Broadband 3G Radar, as well as some spectacular extra features . The Broadband 4G Radar has an impressive 50% improvement in range and target detection capability, with a new 36 nm range and 18 range scales to accomodate the increased performance. Broadband 4G Radar is the first dome radar to employ Beam Sharpening. This technology enables a new feature called Target Separation Control, which improves the azimuth resolution, or effective antenna horizontal beam width, up to double the resolution of any 18-inch dome radar. This is the equivalent of a 3.5- foot open array radar! When paired with the Simrad NSE and NSO or B&G Zeus series, the Broadband 4G Radar is capable of high-speed operation up to 48 rpm. It also has a new Dual Range feature which allows unprecendented simultaneous working ranges, anywhere from 200 ft up to 36 nm - no other radar in the world can do this.
