Bands, chargers and model compatibility
Garmin's quatix and Descent ranges share a family look but differ in focus: quatix models are built around marine navigation, tide data and boat integration, while Descent adds full dive computer functions for divers who also want smartwatch features on the surface. Both use Garmin's QuickFit band system, which lets the strap be swapped without tools, but band width varies between models and generations, so it is worth checking the specific watch size before ordering a replacement strap.
Charging cables and cradles are also model-specific rather than universal across the range, since Garmin has changed the charging contact layout between generations. If you are replacing a lost or worn charger or band for an older watch rather than buying new, check the exact model number on the back of the watch, as visually similar watches from different years are not always compatible with the same accessories.
