The Lowrance Hook-3x was a compact 3.5-inch dedicated fishfinder bundled with an 83/200 kHz broadband Skimmer transom-mount transducer. It delivered Lowrance Broadband Sounder imaging with simple keypad control, ideal for small boats and as a basic depth and fish-finding aid. This model has been discontinued.
Description
The Lowrance Hook-3x was an entry-level, fishfinder-only unit built around a 3.5-inch colour display and intuitive keypad operation. Supplied here with the 83/200 kHz broadband Skimmer transom-mount transducer, it offered dual-frequency Broadband Sounder performance, adjustable sensitivity, fish ID and depth alarms in a rugged, waterproof case suited to small craft.
As a non-GPS fishfinder it concentrated on clear sonar returns and ease of use rather than charting. The Hook-3x has since been discontinued and succeeded within the current Lowrance range by the Hook Reveal series, which adds GPS plotting, Autotuning sonar and DownScan imaging.
