The DS21B-S is Scanstrut's Small vertical entry cable seal for a single thicker cable of 9-14mm, machined in 316 stainless steel. Its 21mm opening passes connectors of up to 21mm, so it installs without removing the connector, and it seals a deck or bulkhead entry to IP68 watertight. Supplied pre-drilled, blank and split bungs need no sealant.

Description

The DS21B-S brings premium 316 stainless steel to the Small seal for a single thicker cable of 9-14mm, pairing a polished marine-grade finish with the strength to take an exposed deck or radar-arch position in its stride. Its 21mm opening lets a connector of up to 21mm pass straight through for a fast, easy and 100% waterproof entry.

The 316 housing resists salt-water corrosion and gives a flush, hardware-grade look alongside other stainless fittings. Captive nuts keep assembly quick and dependable across repeat installations, while the included bung set matches the seal to cables across the 9-14mm range. Nothing on the bungs needs sealant, so the join stays clean.

Can this cable seal be installed below the waterline?
No, these seals are designed to be installed above the waterline.
What's the best way to drill a blank bung?
Before drilling holes, freeze the blank seal in a freezer, this makes it very easy to accurately and neatly drill the hole. For best fit around cables drill a hole Ø1-2mm larger than the cable diameter. When drilling into a frozen blank seal this hole will look far too big but when the seal defrosts, it will be a good tight fit.
