All this amazing sunshine has got us feeling really excited for this year’s Round the Island Race. What more could you want than sun, sea and sailing on a July weekend?   

Have You Entered the 2023 Race?

  This landmark event is held on the 1st July and  involves a day-long yacht race around the Isle of Wight. With around 1,200 boats and 10,000 sailors taking part, the Round the Island race is one of largest yacht races in the world.    The 50 nautical mile course starts from the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes, westabout to The Needles, around St Catherine’s Point and Bembridge Ledge Buoy and back to the finish line at Cowes.    What’s great about the Round the Island Race is you get a wonderful mix of world-renowned sailors, families and first-time racers.    Entries for this years Round the Island Race closed on the 17th June.   

Pre-Race Health Check for Round the Island Race

  If you’ve already entered the race then why not stop by Hudson Marine electronics at our base in Mercury Yacht Harbour and let us carry out a pre-race health check on your yacht electronics?   We’re offering a free electrical system health-check for anyone entering the race.    Health-checks are strictly booking only. To book your slot, please head to our website where  you will find a link to our Closed Door online booking system.
