Sizing cable and connections correctly
Link boxes and terminal blocks are the unglamorous part of a power system, but undersized cable or a poorly rated terminal is where most electrical faults on boats actually start. Cable should be sized to the circuit's maximum current with an allowance for voltage drop over the run length, not just to fit the terminal, and every positive feed needs a fuse or breaker rated to protect the cable rather than the equipment at the end of it.
EasyGrid products are designed to simplify distribution between battery banks, chargers and loads by concentrating connections into a single rated hub rather than a tangle of individual cables, which also makes future fault-finding easier. When extending an existing system, check the busbar's total current rating against the combined draw of everything you plan to connect, since it is easy to exceed a bar's rating gradually as more circuits get added over time.
