A lighter option for tighter spaces
Scanstrut Air mounts trade some of the load capacity of a heavier duty mount for a lower profile and lighter overall installation, which suits smaller displays and instruments where a bulky pod or arm would look out of place or simply doesn't fit the available space at the helm. They're worth considering on boats where weight and windage at height, such as on a targa bar or small arch, matter more than maximum load rating.
Because they're built for lighter equipment, it's worth checking a display's weight against the mount's rated capacity before fitting, particularly for larger multifunction displays that may sit better on a heavier Scanpod or Seaview mount instead.
Adjustable positioning lets you angle the display to cut glare at different times of day, which is worth setting up properly at first fit rather than leaving at a factory default angle.
