Mastervolt MasterBus System Components & Accessories
MasterBus is Mastervolt's intelligent power management and digital switching system for boats. Our MasterBus collection features components for complete vessel electrical control:
- MasterBus Displays - Touchscreen interfaces for system monitoring and control
- MasterBus Modules - Digital switching and monitoring modules
- MasterBus Cables - Network cables and connectors
- MasterBus Accessories - Installation components and spares
MasterBus integrates Mastervolt power systems with digital switching, providing complete control over batteries, inverters, chargers, and all electrical systems from touchscreen displays or smartphones.
System Integration: Part of our Monitoring collection. Essential for Mastervolt systems. Compare with CZone, EmpirBus, or Maretron. Monitor on Simrad, Raymarine, or Garmin displays via NMEA 2000.
How the MasterBus network is wired
MasterBus runs as a daisy chain or spurred backbone similar in principle to NMEA 2000, with a terminator resistor needed at each end and a limit on total cable length and connected devices before signal quality suffers. Plan the run before buying components, since each module, display and charger tapping into the bus needs a drop cable and a spare port, so a spare distribution block is worth having for future additions.
The bus itself carries a small current to power connected modules, so very large systems with many displays and modules can need a dedicated MasterBus power supply rather than relying on the Mastervolt device already on the network. Software addressing is largely automatic, but firmware versions across modules should be kept aligned, since an outdated module can fail to appear correctly on a Masterview display.
