Professional Installation: Part of our Internet collection. Use Starlink cable seals, through-bulkhead glands, and waterproof cable glands. Mount with Seaview or Scanstrut platforms.
Running cable to an antenna or dome
Getting a network or antenna cable from deck level to the helm is usually the fiddliest part of an internet or satellite install, and it is worth planning the route before drilling anything. A waterproof cable gland at the deck or coachroof entry point keeps water out of the run, and a through-bulkhead gland does the same job where cable needs to pass between compartments without a connector in the way.
Marine-grade Ethernet cable is worth specifying over standard network cable for any run exposed to damp or vibration, and cable length matters for powered systems: PoE-fed equipment has a maximum practical run before voltage drop becomes a problem, so longer routes may need a mid-run injector rather than one long cable. External WiFi antennas extend range beyond a built-in aerial but need their own cable run and gland, and should be mounted with a clear line to the signal source.
