Marine Solar Panels for Boats - Flexible & Rigid

High-efficiency marine solar panels for battery charging on boats. Our solar panels collection features flexible and rigid panels from Victron Energy, Mastervolt, and other manufacturers:

  • Rigid Solar Panels - Traditional framed solar panels
  • Flexible Solar Panels - Lightweight, bendable panels for curved surfaces
  • Semi-Flexible Panels - Walk-on solar panels for decks
  • Portable Solar Panels - Folding panels for temporary use

All marine solar panels designed for harsh saltwater environments with corrosion-resistant frames and waterproof construction. Perfect for reducing reliance on shore power and engine charging.

Complete Solar System: Part of our Solar collection. Pair with MPPT charge controllers, solar cables, and solar connectors. Mount with Scanstrut Solar V mounts. Charge AGM or lithium batteries.

Rigid, flexible or semi-flexible: which panel

Rigid panels remain the most efficient per watt and the most durable over time, but need a frame and standoff mount that many smaller boats do not have deck space for. Flexible panels bend to follow a curved coachroof or bimini top and weigh far less, at some cost to long-term efficiency and lifespan compared with a rigid panel of the same wattage. Semi-flexible, walk-on panels sit closer to deck level and can take foot traffic, which suits sailing boats where crew regularly move across the coachroof.

Whichever type you choose, total array wattage needs to be matched to an MPPT controller sized for the panel's open-circuit voltage and your battery bank's charge acceptance, not simply added to the system without recalculating. Wiring panels in series raises voltage for a longer cable run with less loss, while parallel wiring keeps voltage lower but each string needs its own fusing.
