Mounting a solar array with Solar V
Solar V brackets are built to hold a panel at a fixed or adjustable tilt on an arch, bimini frame, deck or rail, and the mounting choice affects output more than most people expect, since a panel lying flat on a coachroof loses a meaningful amount of output compared with one tilted towards the sun, particularly at higher latitudes. Adjustable brackets let you correct for that through the season, at some cost in installation complexity over a fixed mount.
Cable glands and deck seals in this range are what keep the panel wiring watertight where it passes through the deck or an arch tube, and need to be sized to the cable's outer diameter rather than just the hole drilled for it. Pair the finished array with an MPPT controller sized to the panel's voltage and your battery bank, rather than wiring panels directly to the battery.
