Discontinued C-MAP products are usually superseded by a direct equivalent in the current Discover, Reveal or Wide range, often covering the same region at a similar or finer scale, so the old title is a useful starting point even though the SKU itself is no longer produced. Chart card format is worth checking carefully, since older C-MAP titles used MicroSD, SD or the older Compass Card formats, and not every card slot on a current chartplotter accepts every historic format without an adaptor.
Coverage area and update cycle also change between generations. A like-for-like replacement may come with a different update entitlement, or may fold what were previously several separate regional titles into a single wider card.
Compatibility ultimately depends on your chartplotter model and its software version rather than the chart card alone, so it is worth confirming both before ordering a replacement, particularly on older displays that may need a firmware update to read newer chart formats.
