Marine Battery Connectors & Electrical Lugs
High-quality marine battery connectors, cable lugs, and electrical terminals for secure power connections. Our connectors collection features:
- Ring Terminals - Crimped connections for battery posts
- Battery Lugs - Heavy-duty lugs for high-current connections
- Butt Connectors - Join cables end-to-end
- Spade Terminals - Quick-disconnect connections
- Heat Shrink Connectors - Waterproof sealed connections
All marine connectors feature tinned copper construction for corrosion resistance and secure, low-resistance electrical connections. Essential for professional marine electrical installations.
Electrical Connections: Part of our Cables, Connectors & Accessories collection. Use with marine cable and battery terminals. Essential for connecting batteries, inverters, chargers, and all DC distribution systems.
Matching connectors to the cable and the job
Ring terminals and lugs are sized to the cable's cross-sectional area first and the stud or terminal post second; too large a barrel for the cable strands gives a poor crimp even if the terminal fits the post. Tinned copper terminals are worth the extra over plain copper on anything below decks or exposed to damp, since they resist the green corrosion that eventually pushes up electrical resistance at a joint.
Heat shrink connectors with an internal adhesive liner seal the crimp against moisture ingress, which matters most on bilge-area wiring, battery connections and anything outside a dry locker. A proper crimping tool rated for the terminal type makes more difference to a joint's reliability than the terminal brand.
For high-current runs, such as from battery to inverter or windlass, use a lug rated for the cable gauge and torque it to the terminal manufacturer's figure rather than by feel, since an under-tightened high-current joint is a common cause of localised heating.
