Digital Switching
Marine Digital Switching & Control Systems
Modernize your vessel's electrical system with intelligent digital switching technology. Control all onboard systems from touchscreen displays and smartphones. Our digital switching collection features:
- Digital Switching Overview - Learn about modern marine electrical control
- CZone Digital Switching - Industry-leading digital switching by Mastervolt
- EmpirBus Systems - Advanced digital control and monitoring
- Maretron N2KView - NMEA 2000-based vessel monitoring and control
Digital switching eliminates traditional switch panels, reduces wiring complexity, and provides complete control over lighting, pumps, electronics, and all electrical systems from centralized displays or mobile devices.
System Integration: Integrate with Victron Energy via MasterBus, monitor on Simrad, Raymarine, or Garmin displays. Connect via NMEA 2000 networking. Power with advanced power management.
Choosing a digital switching platform
CZone, EmpirBus and Maretron N2KView are all built around NMEA 2000, but each runs its own configuration software and its own control modules, so components from one system will not simply drop into another. Decide on a platform before you start buying hardware, then work out the circuits: each output module has a fixed number of channels and a maximum current rating, so lighting, pumps and bilge circuits need to be mapped out and fused correctly at the design stage.
Retrofitting an existing boat is usually more involved than fitting digital switching during a new build, since the old switch panel wiring has to be traced back to each load before it can be replaced. Displays and control depend on which chartplotter brand is aboard: some platforms integrate directly into a Simrad, Raymarine or Garmin MFD, others need their own dedicated touchscreen.
If you are unsure which platform suits your existing NMEA 2000 network, talk to us before ordering modules.
