Marine Instruments & Sailing Displays
Monitor critical vessel data with precision marine instruments designed for both powerboats and sailing vessels. Our comprehensive instruments collection features:
- Wind Instruments - True and apparent wind speed and direction
- Speed Instruments - Boat speed through water and GPS speed
- Depth Sounders - Accurate depth measurement with alarms
- Multifunction Displays - Integrated data displays for all vessel systems
- Mast Displays - Wireless displays for racing and cruising sailors
- Weather Instruments - Barometric pressure and weather forecasting
- Spares & Accessories - Replacement parts and transducers
Featured brands include Raymarine, Simrad, B&G, and Garmin, all offering NMEA 2000 integration.
System Integration: Connect via NMEA 2000 networking to autopilots and chartplotters. Use Actisense interfaces for multi-brand integration.
Building one coherent instrument network
Wind, speed and depth data only becomes useful once every instrument is talking to the same network, rather than sitting as isolated readouts. NMEA 2000 is the common backbone for modern systems: each sensor connects via a drop cable to a powered trunk line, and a single multifunction display or repeater can then show data from every source on board. Mixing brands is normal, but it usually needs an interface, since not every manufacturer exposes the same proprietary data over the standard PGNs.
Before adding to an existing setup, check how much spare load the backbone can take and whether you already have a free network connection point; a saturated bus or a missing terminator is behind most of the no data faults we see. Masthead and wireless wind sensors also need a clear line of sight to their receiver, which is worth checking at the planning stage rather than after installation.
