Description
The SB-2G is a pack of two IP67 cable glands for Scanstrut's SB-8-5 and SB-8-10 junction boxes, upgrading their cable entries from the standard IP66 rating to IP67. Each gland fits one of the box's cable entries and grips cables from 4mm to 12mm, keeping the feed watertight as wiring is added, changed or refreshed.
The upgrade is worthwhile where a junction box sits in an exposed or wet spot such as a locker, lazarette or tender bay, and a spare set lets a box be reopened and resealed whenever cables are rerouted. It is worth noting that this listing is for the cable glands only and does not include the junction box enclosure.
