The DS30-P is the Medium vertical entry cable seal in grey high-impact plastic, sealing a single cable of 9-14mm with a 30mm opening that passes connectors of up to 30mm. It gives an IP68 watertight finish through a deck or bulkhead and fits without removing the connector. Pre-drilled, blank and split bungs are included, with no messy sealant.

Description

The DS30-P steps up to the Medium size, sealing a single cable of 9-14mm while its 30mm opening lets pre-fitted connectors of up to 30mm pass through, so larger plotter, radar and instrument runs go through a single vertical entry without being cut. It is the fast, easy and 100% waterproof way to bring heavier cabling below.

Moulded in grey high-impact plastic with a low-profile, impact-resistant dome, it blends with light decks and consoles while standing up to knocks and sun. Captive nuts make for quick, repeatable assembly, and the supplied pre-drilled, blank and split bungs adapt the seal to cable diameters across its 9-14mm range. Sealant stays in the locker.

Can this cable seal be installed below the waterline?
No, these seals are designed to be installed above the waterline.
What's the best way to drill a blank bung?
Before drilling holes, freeze the blank seal in a freezer, this makes it very easy to accurately and neatly drill the hole. For best fit around cables drill a hole Ø1-2mm larger than the cable diameter. When drilling into a frozen blank seal this hole will look far too big but when the seal defrosts, it will be a good tight fit.
