The DS40-S is the Large vertical entry cable seal machined in 316 stainless steel, sealing a single cable of 12-15mm with a 40mm opening that passes connectors of up to 40mm. It gives an IP68 watertight finish through a deck or bulkhead and installs without removing the connector. Bungs for the 12-15mm range are supplied, with no messy sealant required.

Description

The DS40-S is the flagship Large seal in premium 316 stainless steel, sealing a single cable of 12-15mm while its 40mm opening lets connectors of up to 40mm pass through, where the biggest runs meet an exposed or highly visible entry point. It is the fast, easy and 100% waterproof route for heavy-gauge cabling below decks.

The marine-grade 316 housing resists salt-water corrosion and finishes the deck with a polished, hardware-grade face that matches stainless arches and hardtops. Captive nuts keep assembly quick and repeatable through multiple installations, while the included bungs suit cables across the 12-15mm range. No sealant is needed on the bungs, so the result stays clean and easy to service.

Can this cable seal be installed below the waterline?
No, these seals are designed to be installed above the waterline.
What's the best way to drill a blank bung?
Before drilling holes, freeze the blank seal in a freezer, this makes it very easy to accurately and neatly drill the hole. For best fit around cables drill a hole Ø1-2mm larger than the cable diameter. When drilling into a frozen blank seal this hole will look far too big but when the seal defrosts, it will be a good tight fit.
