Description
The Simrad IS42J is a 4.1-inch colour engine gauge that displays speed, load, pressures, temperatures and diagnostic trouble codes for up to two J1939 diesel engines on one clear graphical screen. More than a standalone instrument, it includes a built-in J1939 to NMEA 2000 gateway, so it also bridges those engines onto the vessel network and lets engine data be viewed on other Simrad gauges and multifunction displays without a separate converter. Installation is straightforward, with one cable to each engine and a single DC power connection, and the optically bonded display resists internal condensation and fogging.
