Description

The Garmin LiveScope 2 LVS44 transducer brings the latest generation of LiveScope live-scanning sonar to compatible Garmin chartplotters. Unlike earlier LiveScope systems it needs no GLS 10 sonar black box: the transducer connects straight to your power source and to the chartplotter or network over Garmin BlueNet, using the included power/network cable and adapter. Compared with previous generations it delivers up to 20% higher resolution with reduced artefacts, ghosts and blind spots, integrated image stabilisation and improved stitching, so fish, structure and lures stand out clearly in real time.

Wider beams cover 20 x 165 degrees in Forward mode and 20 x 180 degrees in Down and Perspective modes, and the 600 kHz to 1,050 kHz transducer tracks the bottom out to 76 m (250 ft) in freshwater. Water detection turns the sonar off automatically when the transducer leaves the water, and a built-in temperature sensor provides water temperature readings. The adjustable perspective shaft mount and a trolling-motor barrel mount are included, together with an adapter disc for the Force Kraken LiveScope mounting bracket.

Does the LiveScope 2 LVS44 need a GLS 10 black box?
No. LiveScope 2 connects directly to a compatible Garmin chartplotter (or Garmin BlueNet network) and to a 10 to 35 V power source using the included power/network cable, so no GLS 10 sonar black box is needed.
What is the difference between the LVS44 and the LiveScope 2 HD LVS42HD?
The LVS44 runs at 600 kHz to 1,050 kHz and reaches up to 76 m (250 ft), while the LVS42HD uses higher frequencies for more detail at shorter range (up to 38 m / 125 ft). The LVS44 is the longer-range choice.
Which mounts are included?
The adjustable perspective shaft mount, a trolling-motor barrel mount and an adapter disc for the Force Kraken LiveScope mounting bracket are included. Transom, jack plate, 0-degree and 8-degree shaft mounts are available separately.
Can I extend the cable?
Yes. Garmin LiveScope 2 extension cables are available in 1 m (3 ft) and 3 m (10 ft) lengths, and the BlueNet network side can be extended with a BlueNet coupler and extension cable.
