Description

The Quick stern thruster tunnel (Ø140 mm, BMC) is the complete moulded/fabricated tunnel for a stern thruster, listed by Quick for the BTQ, BTH and BTAC ranges. It suits thrusters with a 140 mm tunnel diameter (BTQ 140 and BT QSY 140).

Quick states this manual covers only the stern tunnel installation, which differs from the thruster installation instructions; for thruster installation see the thruster's own manual. Optional cowls (deflectors) are available for stern tunnels from Ø140 to Ø386 (see the Quick cowl kits).

Dimensions from Quick's stern tunnel manual (Rev 005A, code FGTLPV140000A00): A 176 mm, B 175 mm (recommended), C 250 mm, D 250 mm, E 160 mm, F 9 mm, G 105 mm; optional cowl width H 510 mm.

Thrusters with a 140 mm tunnel diameter. In Quick's manuals this includes BTQ 140 and BT QSY 140.
Are cowls included?
No. Cowls (deflectors) for stern tunnels are optional Quick accessories sold separately.
Is installation DIY-friendly?
Quick recommends that the tunnel and thruster are installed by competent, skilled personnel, and the installer bears responsibility for any problems caused by defective installation. The installation and user manual (linked in Downloads) covers the tunnel, gearleg and wiring.
