Description
The Raymarine P79 in-hull depth transducer easily adjusts to hull deadrise angles up to 22 degrees, ensuring the sonar beam is oriented vertically to receive strong echoes and accurate depth readings. Unlike traditional puck-type transducers it uses an adjustable flange that bonds to the inside of a solid fibreglass hull with quick-setting marine epoxy and is dialled in to the boat's deadrise before being filled with non-toxic antifreeze and capped.
This package is supplied complete with the P79 fitting kit so no additional parts are needed for installation, and no cutting or drilling of the hull is required. This is the 200 kHz analogue version of the P79, fitted with push-on 1/8 inch female spade connectors for Raymarine i40, i50 and iTC-5 instruments and legacy instruments such as the ST40, ST60 and ST290. It suits solid fibreglass hulls up to 5/8 inch thick and, being an in-hull design, does not include a water-temperature sensor.
