Description
The Simarine STR-A is a tank adapter that lets the STR1 and STR2 radar tank level senders measure metal tanks. Radar cannot pass through metal, so the adapter mounts on the tank's standard S5 flange opening and gives the sender a clear path to the liquid below.
It is made from durable PETG plastic and works as a waveguide for the radar signal while giving a solid, leak-resistant mounting platform. Installation is straightforward: clean the tank surface, position the gasket, align and secure the adapter with the screws, then attach the STR1 or STR2 sender on top.
The package includes the adapter, a sealing gasket, five mounting screws and installation manuals. It suits metal water, waste and diesel tanks in boats, campervans and motorhomes. TMS advises it is not for petrol tanks. Simarine products carry a 3-year warranty.
