Specs and manuals for retired products
When an Actisense product is retired, the specifications and manuals for it are kept online mainly so existing installations can be serviced, wiring identified and faults diagnosed, even though the unit itself is no longer sold. This matters for interfaces in particular, since a discontinued gateway is often still doing useful work bridging older NMEA 0183 instruments into a newer network, and there is rarely a need to replace it just because it has left the current range.
Where a direct replacement is needed, current Actisense interfaces are generally backward compatible with the data formats used by older models, so a new gateway will usually talk to existing 0183 and 2000 devices without further changes elsewhere on the network. Connector types and pinouts have changed less across generations than the electronics inside them, which helps when matching an old cable to a new unit.
Send us the model number from the retired unit and we can confirm the closest current equivalent.
