Mounting thread and base dimensions are the main things to check when replacing a discontinued Glomex antenna, since a current model with the same base fitting can often go straight onto an existing mount without further work. Where the original mount is no longer available either, checking the thread size against Glomex's current range, or against a universal marine antenna mount, is usually quicker than trying to match the discontinued part exactly.
Cable connector type is worth checking too, since Glomex has used more than one fitting across different antenna generations, and an adaptor may be needed to connect a current antenna to older existing cabling.
