Pairing an amplifier with your display
Raymarine's amplifiers are built to be controlled from a compatible LightHouse display, such as an Axiom or a-Series unit, over the same NMEA 2000 or SeaTalkng network already running instruments and sonar, so volume and source can be adjusted from the helm without a separate stereo head unit taking up panel space. This suits boats where the plotter is already the natural control point and a dedicated stereo display would be redundant.
Channel count and power rating need to match the speakers and zones planned for the boat; a two or four channel amplifier covers a single cockpit or helm zone, while larger installs spanning cockpit, cabin and flybridge need either a higher channel count or more than one amplifier networked together. As with any marine amplifier, size the power feed cable and fuse to the amplifier's maximum current draw rather than its average, since bass-heavy peaks draw considerably more current than continuous listening.
Ask us if you are unsure whether your existing Axiom or a-Series display supports amplifier control before buying.
