Raymarine's approach to docking assistance
Raymarine docking cameras are built to feed directly into an Axiom or Element display rather than needing a separate monitor, so picture quality and control are handled through the same touchscreen already used for charts and radar. Video runs over the same RayNet or standard cable network as the rest of the system, which keeps cable runs to a single network drop rather than a dedicated video cable back to the helm.
Camera position still does the most work: a stern-mounted camera angled slightly down covers the swim platform and pontoon corner better than one mounted flat against the transom. Where you are running more than one camera, such as bow and stern views, check that your display and network switch have the capacity to show and switch between feeds, since not every Axiom configuration supports simultaneous multi-camera viewing.
