Transducers for Element S

Conical high CHIRP transducers compatible with Raymarine Element S displays. CPT-S transom mount and thru-hull models connect directly, no adaptor cable required. Compatibility per Raymarine document 87360 (Rev 9).

Fitting a transducer to Element S

Element S displays use Raymarine's CPT-S connector, so a transducer built for that connector plugs in directly without an adaptor cable, unlike many other Raymarine displays that need a separate adaptor to step down from a larger DownVision or CHIRP connector. Checking the connector pin count against the specific Element S model before ordering avoids the most common fitting mistake, buying a transducer built for a different Raymarine connector standard by assumption rather than by checking.

Conical high CHIRP transducers give a rounder, wider beam than the narrower downscan-style imaging transducers used elsewhere in Raymarine's range, which suits general depth and fish arch reading rather than detailed structure imaging, a trade-off worth understanding before choosing between the two for this display.

Transom mount is the simpler installation for planing hulls, bolted to the outside of the transom below the waterline. Thru-hull versions need a hole cut through the hull and the mounting angle set to the boat's deadrise, so they suit a fixed installation where the extra effort is worthwhile.
