Delivery
What does delivery cost?
A flat £6.95 anywhere in the UK, including the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Channel Islands and Isle of Man are £14.95. Collection from us at Hamble is free. Full detail on our Delivery & Collection page.
How quickly will my order arrive?
Order before 1pm on a working day and we usually process it the same day. Most in-stock orders dispatch within 1 to 2 working days, and typical UK delivery is 1 to 3 working days after that.
Is everything in stock?
No, and we would rather say so. We carry a great deal at Hamble, but some items are ordered in from the manufacturer for you and typically take 5 to 10 working days before dispatch. If something will take longer, we tell you rather than let you wait and wonder. If stock matters for your job, ring us before ordering and we will check.
Can I collect instead?
Yes, free of charge from Mercury Yacht Harbour, Hamble. Choose Collect in person at checkout, then wait for our email confirming it is ready before travelling. Bring your order confirmation and photo ID.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Yes, to the EU and more than 60 further countries. The charge is shown at checkout for your destination. Import duty and local taxes are payable by the recipient.
Returns and faults
Can I change my mind?
Yes. As a consumer buying online or by phone you have 14 days from delivery to cancel, and a further 14 days to send the goods back. You pay return postage for a change of mind. See our Returns and Refunds policy.
What if it is faulty?
Different rights, and stronger ones. Within 30 days of receiving the goods you can reject them and ask for a full refund. After 30 days you are entitled to a repair or replacement. We cover the return cost for anything faulty, damaged or incorrect, so you are not out of pocket for a fault that is ours or the manufacturer's.
Is there anything I cannot return?
For change of mind only: items cut or made to your specification (cut-to-length cable, made-to-order items), sealed software or chart cards you have unsealed, and gift cards. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty or not as described. Products already fitted to a vessel can rarely be returned as new, so a deduction for loss of value is likely on a change-of-mind return.
Warranty, repairs and installation
Are your products UK stock with a proper warranty?
Yes. Everything we sell is genuine UK-supplied stock covered by the manufacturer's standard warranty. We are an authorised dealer for the brands we sell, so we can usually handle a warranty claim or repair for you rather than sending you to the manufacturer. See Warranty & Repairs.
Do you fit what you sell?
Yes. We have our own engineers and we work on boats across the Solent. See Service & Installation.
Can you repair something I did not buy from you?
Usually, yes. Tell us the make, model and the symptoms and we will say honestly whether it is worth repairing.
Buying
Will this work with the kit already on my boat?
Ask us before you buy. Compatibility across chartplotters, transducers, autopilots and networks is exactly where an expensive mistake gets made, and it is the main reason to buy from a specialist rather than a general retailer. Tell us what you already have and we will tell you what fits.
Do you do trade pricing?
Yes, for boatyards, marine engineers, installers and commercial operators. See Trade Accounts.
Are prices inclusive of VAT?
Yes. All prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT unless stated otherwise. We do not charge UK VAT on orders shipped outside the UK.
Can I order something you do not list?
Very likely. Our catalogue is large but not exhaustive, and we can source from the manufacturers we are dealers for. Ask.
