Transducers for Element HV
Every transducer compatible with Raymarine Element HV displays: HyperVision HV-100 and HV-300 series for direct connection, plus CPT-S, DownVision and Dragonfly transducers via the appropriate adaptor cable. Compatibility per Raymarine document 87360 (Rev 9).
Choosing between direct fit and adaptor
HyperVision transducers connect straight into an Element HV display without any additional hardware, which gives the simplest install and the full resolution the HV series is capable of. Going this route means picking between the HV-100 and HV-300 depending on how much CHIRP sonar performance and beam coverage you need for the boat and the way you fish.
The alternative is reusing an existing CPT-S, DownVision or Dragonfly transducer through the correct adaptor cable, which suits anyone upgrading a display without wanting to cut a new hole in the hull or transom for a different transducer. Not every legacy transducer is supported this way, so it's worth checking the specific model against the compatibility list before assuming an adaptor exists.
Either way, deadrise angle and mounting position on the hull affect sonar performance as much as the transducer choice itself, particularly for a stepped or deep-vee hull.
