Finding the right spare for your unit
Sonar spares are generation specific, so the safest starting point is the model printed on the back of your existing unit rather than the display's screen size. Raymarine has changed transducer connectors and power cable pinouts across the Dragonfly, Axiom and Element ranges, and a cable that looks identical can carry a different pinout underneath.
Power cables and in-line fuses are the parts that fail most often, usually from corrosion at a crimped joint rather than the electronics itself; a replacement cable with a sealed connector is often a simpler fix than assuming the display has failed. Transducer adapter cables let you keep an existing transducer when upgrading the display, but only within the same connector family, so check pin count before ordering.
