Raymarine RayNet Cables & High-Speed Networking

RayNet is Raymarine's proprietary high-speed networking system for connecting displays, radar, sonar, and other components. Our RayNet collection features:

  • RayNet Network Cables - High-speed Ethernet cables in various lengths
  • RayNet Adapters - Connect to standard Ethernet and other formats
  • RayNet Switches - Expand your Raymarine network
  • RayNet to RJ45 Adapters - Connect to standard networking equipment

RayNet provides fast, reliable data transfer between Raymarine components with waterproof, locking connectors designed for marine environments.

Raymarine Networking: Part of our Networking collection. Essential for Raymarine Axiom, Element, and other systems. Combine with SeaTalkng (NMEA 2000) for complete integration. Compare with Garmin or Navico Ethernet networking.

Fitting Raymarine's RayNet network

RayNet is Raymarine's own high-speed Ethernet cabling, built with a locking, waterproof connector rather than a standard RJ45 plug, so a RayNet cable will not simply swap for generic network cable if a run needs extending or re-routing through a bulkhead. Adapters convert between RayNet and RJ45 where you need to bring in a standard network device, such as a router or a non-Raymarine component, but check which end needs which connector before ordering.

A RayNet switch expands the network beyond the ports built into a display or radar module, useful once you start adding multiple sensors, cameras or a second MFD. RayNet handles Ethernet-speed data such as radar and chart imagery; slower instrument data such as depth, wind and GPS still runs over a SeaTalkng (NMEA 2000) backbone alongside it, so most Raymarine systems end up running both networks side by side.
