Actisense

Actisense is the standard in marine data interfacing. Hudson Marine stocks the full range, from the NGT-1 and W2K-1 gateways to NMEA 2000 cabling, buffers and the EMU-1 engine monitor, with the know-how to get your network talking.

Choosing the right Actisense gateway

Actisense's core products solve the problem of getting old and new marine electronics talking on the same network. The NGT-1 bridges NMEA 2000 to a PC or plotter over USB for programming and diagnostics, while the W2K-1 does a similar job wirelessly, broadcasting NMEA 2000 data to a Wi-Fi-connected tablet or phone without a cable run to the helm.

A NMEA 2000 backbone has a limited load budget, and a busy network with many sensors and displays can exceed it. An Actisense buffer or repeater helps where signal degrades over a long backbone, or where you are bridging 0183 devices that talk at different baud rates onto a 2000 network. The EMU-1 reads engine data from an analogue gauge sender and puts it onto NMEA 2000, often the simplest way to get engine information onto a modern chartplotter without replacing the sender.
