How Mastervolt's system pieces connect
Mastervolt's ranges are designed to work as a system rather than as standalone boxes. Mass inverter/chargers handle shore power conversion and AC supply from a single unit, Mac DC-DC converters keep a house bank charged from the alternator or a different voltage source, and MLI lithium batteries need a compatible charge profile and cell balancing that only Mastervolt-aware chargers and monitoring provide.
MasterBus is what ties these together: it lets the charger, battery monitor and any connected panel share data so the system behaves as one unit rather than several devices guessing at each other's state. Adding a non-Mastervolt component to a MasterBus network generally means it sits outside that data sharing, even if it still functions electrically on its own.
