Iris Innovations
Iris Innovations Marine Cameras
Established in 2003, Iris Innovations designs and manufactures rugged marine camera equipment built for the harshest conditions at sea. The range spans ultra-compact stainless steel dome and bullet cameras, pan-tilt-zoom domes, dual-payload thermal night-vision cameras, through-hull cameras and the CMAC camera management and recording system.
Iris cameras integrate directly with Raymarine, Navico (Simrad, B&G and Lowrance) and Furuno multifunction displays, and with Garmin via the IrisControl app for OneHelm. Hudson Marine supplies the complete Iris catalogue: cameras, recorders, video switchers, controllers and accessories. These products are not held in stock and are typically dispatched within one to two weeks.
Where each Iris camera range fits
Iris covers a wide spread of applications on one boat: fixed dome and bullet cameras for engine bays and deck monitoring, pan tilt zoom domes for scanning astern or covering a wide anchorage, dual payload thermal cameras for night passage, and through-hull cameras for checking anchor and rudder position below the waterline. Each connects differently, so check whether a camera outputs standard video to a switcher or feeds directly into a compatible multifunction display before planning cable runs.
Integration depends on the display brand: Raymarine, Navico and Furuno units usually show a camera feed as a network video source, while Garmin owners need the IrisControl app running via OneHelm rather than a direct network feed. Confirm your display's software version supports video before ordering. A CMAC recorder is worth adding where more than one camera needs recording or switching between views.
