The Raymarine Axiom 2 7 RV is a 7 inch all-glass multifunction display with a built-in RealVision 3D sonar module, running LightHouse 4 on a hexacore processor. The internal sounder gives RealVision 3D, SideVision, DownVision and conical CHIRP from a single compatible transducer, alongside chart, radar, video and engine data. Gigabit RayNet Ethernet, NMEA 2000, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth let it sit at the centre of a networked Raymarine system. Supplied with the RV-100 transom mount RealVision 3D transducer. Supplied with pre-loaded LightHouse Mediterranean charts.

Description

The Axiom 2 7 is the smallest display in Raymarine's latest Axiom range, built around a hexacore processor that boots faster and redraws charts noticeably more quickly than the Axiom+ generation it replaces. This is an RV model, so a 600W RealVision 3D sonar module is built in and one compatible transducer covers RealVision 3D, SideVision, DownVision and conical CHIRP without a separate black box.

The 7 inch IPS panel runs at 1024 x 600 with 1500 nits of brightness and a HydroTough oleophobic coating, so it stays readable in direct sun and sheds spray and fingerprints. LightHouse 4 opens up more than thirty apps alongside LightHouse Charts Gen 2, Navionics, C-MAP and Imray cartography, and the display can be trunnion, surface, flush or front mounted using the supplied and optional hardware.

Gigabit RayNet Ethernet ties the display into a wider Raymarine system of radars, cameras, extra sonar modules and further displays, while NMEA 2000, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth handle instruments, autopilots and wireless audio. RealVision transducers plug straight into the 25-pin socket; DownVision, CPT-S and traditional transducers connect through an adaptor cable.

The RV-100 plastic transom mount RealVision 3D transducer is supplied in the box, so no hull cutting is needed.

This version ships with LightHouse Mediterranean charts pre-loaded, ready to navigate out of the box.

Which transducers work with the Axiom 2 7 RV?
RealVision 3D transducers (RV-100 to RV-400, including the split-pair sets) plug straight into the 25-pin connector. DownVision and CPT-S-Series transducers need adaptor cable A80490, and traditional non-CHIRP transducers such as the B60, B164, P79 and P66 need adaptor cable A80489.
Will the Axiom 2 7 fit the cut-out left by my old chartplotter?
Adaptor plates are available: A80524 replaces an e7 or e7D and reuses the existing fixing holes. Where the existing holes cannot be reused, a template is supplied with the plate.
Which charts and card readers does it support?
LightHouse Charts Gen 2 plus Navionics, C-MAP, Imray and S-63 encrypted charts. A MicroSDXC card slot is built in. The optional RCR-SDUSB accessory (A80440) connects to the USB Micro B port and adds a full size SD card slot and a USB-A socket, and the RCR-2 adds two MicroSDHC slots.
What software version does an Axiom 2 need?
Axiom 2 chartplotters require LightHouse 4 v4.11.103 as a minimum. Raymarine recommends updating to the latest LightHouse 4 release so that all features and connected Raymarine devices are fully supported.
How is the Axiom 2 7 powered and networked?
It runs from a 12 V dc nominal supply (8 V to 16 V dc range) and needs a 7 A inline fuse or thermal breaker. The supplied cable carries both power and a NMEA 2000 DeviceNet connection, and a DeviceNet to SeaTalk NG adaptor cable is included. A single gigabit RayNet port handles radar, cameras, sonar modules and additional displays.
What is included with the RV-100 bundle?
The RV-100 is a plastic transom mount RealVision 3D transducer, supplied with its cable and mounting hardware. It connects directly to the 25-pin transducer socket, so no adaptor cable is required.
