Raymarine
Hudson Marine is a Raymarine premier dealer. We carry the full Axiom and Element range, plus the autopilots, radar, transducers, cameras and SeaTalkng networking that go with them, and we fit and support them from our own workshop.
Matching Axiom or Element to your boat
Raymarine splits its chartplotter line into two families. Axiom uses a faster processor and supports RealVision 3D and DownVision sonar as well as CHIRP, while Element is the simpler, lower cost option built around CHIRP DownVision. Both run Raymarine's Lighthouse operating system, so screens and settings feel familiar whichever size you pick.
Autopilots, radar and instruments join the plotter over a SeaTalkng backbone, which is Raymarine's take on NMEA 2000; existing SeaTalkng cabling and T-pieces carry across when you add or replace units. Evolution autopilots need a compatible course computer and drive unit sized to your boat's displacement and steering type, and radar choice depends on whether you want a compact radome or the longer range of an open array.
If you are extending an existing Raymarine network rather than starting from scratch, check the network protocol and cable type before ordering, as older SeaTalk and SeaTalk2 wiring is not interchangeable with SeaTalkng without an adaptor.
